This page contains a dynamically built list of all dictionary repositories. Private repositories are not listed.
Dictionary sources are grouped according to the source language, NOT the target language(s).
Grouped according to maturity of the resources
For dictionaries, the maturity levels are guided by the size and structure of the lexicon:
- Experiment: fewer than 1,000 lexical entries; the resource may not work.
- Alpha: 1,000–10,000 entries, including entries from different parts of speech.
- Beta: more than 10,000 entries, with different parts of speech treated differently.
- Production: more than 20,000 entries, with lemma articles structured according to lemma type.
These are dictionary-specific guidelines; the general maturity criteria also apply. The grouping is based on each repository’s GitHub topic, not an automatic assessment of its contents. The code that maps maturity topics to sections implements the grouping; to reclassify a repository, change its GitHub topic.
The maturity levels are production, beta, alpha and experimental.
